Maria and Nikos, married, but clearly estranged, spend the weekend in a hotel in the middle of nature, on the river Acheron. During their stay there they try to find new balances in their relationship.

Summer of 1948. Civil war rages in Greece. At the end of June, sixteen-year-old Artemis from the village of Itea in Thessaly is recruited against her will by a group of rebels. He fights with them in the trenches of the Greek-Albanian border, where he is seriously injured. A year later, the war ends. Thousands of young people board ships bound for the Soviet Union. Among them is the ninety one year old today, Artemis Bita.
LIKE A MOTHERLESS CHILD
Elena, a spirited 15-year-old Afro-Greek girl, is wrongly blamed for stealing money from her friends after being robbed by a dealer. She struggles to collect the money to make amends but fails. Along the way, she discovers that she was set up in a conspiracy. With her little brother's help, she exposes the truth, proving her innocence. As she uncovers the betrayal, Elena reevaluates her friendships and decides to leave the group for good, choosing her own path instead.
