DESCRIPTION

We completed the co-production of a series of 15-episode historical documentaries entitled "1912-1922: The ten-year expedition of Greece" in collaboration with COSMOTE TV. The series broadcasted on COSMOTE TV's COSMOTE History subscription channel.

The 15 episode series focuses on the most critical decade (1912-1922) of modern Greek history, which shaped the physiognomy of modern Greece more than any other. During this period there have been successive wars (Balkan Wars, World War I, Greco-Turkish War) which upset the entire Balkans, dragging almost all the Balkan states into a vortex of atrocities.

THE AIM

This series aspires to capture the shocking military, political and diplomatic events of the decade 1912-1922, attempting to take advantage of the findings of current historiography and answer the crucial question of how Greece - a country that in the Balkan wars found itself at the peak of its recent history - fell into ruin in just ten years.
