On this ground we participate in European programs, finding the right resources and making use of the existing unused funds for the right investments in the audiovisual industry.


Honeybee takes part in the following research and funding programs: Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Partnership Agreement (PA) 2014-2020, territorial co-operation program INTERREG, MED, Balkan Mediterranean and Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs.

THE AIM

The project's main aim is to highlight the cultural and historical heritage of Kilkis, while promoting local gastronomy and agrifoodstuffs businesses. BRENDA's innovative design, creation, and operation of interactive narrative routes (digital tours) cater to visitors and residents, providing them with an immersive experience of Kilkis and other cities in the regional area.

BRENDA is also an internet-based gastronomy game that includes an interactive exploration of the city's historical monuments and sights, traditional recipes, and local agri-products. The project's application of complex augmented technology enables the design of interactive narrative routes, and dynamic tours that bring Kilkis's rich cultural heritage to life.


The project's integrated platform invites local gastronomy restaurants, offering traditional local recipes or new taste menus using local ingredients, and agri-foodstuffs businesses to participate in the gaming procedure of visitors and area residents. BRENDA aims to educate and familiarize visitors with Kilkis's magnificent cultural heritage and local gastronomy by using modern technology. Visitors are given the opportunity to learn about cultural monuments, taste local recipes, buy or taste within the participating restaurants local recipes using traditional agri-products.

BRENDA is a project that ran from 2018 to 2022, and it remains an excellent resource for anyone interested in exploring Kilkis's rich cultural heritage and local gastronomy. DESCRIPTION

BRENDA is an innovative project approved and funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and national grants OP. Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme. The project has been designed to provide visitors and residents of the city of Kilkis, Greece, with an interactive gastronomy guide and historical monument tour experience using augmented reality and web technologies. BRENDA is a collaboration between the Department of Αudio & Visual Arts at Ionian University, Kilkis Chamber of Commerce, and Honeybee Productions.
